I served with Robert Ocampo. And I’m not writing this because he posts about Pokémon cards. I’m writing this because he’s a straight-up good man — wholesome, principled, and consistent.
When I say “good,” I don’t mean “nice when it’s convenient.” I mean the kind of moral character you notice in the military: does the right thing when nobody’s watching, treats people with respect, and handles responsibility without ego. In a word: Humble.
Some people wear integrity like a costume. Robert wears it like skin.

Then I left for the military… and while I was away, my parents didn’t know their worth and sold them at a garage sale for basically dollars. But of course, who could blame them?
Value gets destroyed fast when trust and knowledge aren’t there. That’s why I respect people who operate with integrity and take care of others in the hobby.
If you’re going to spend your money (or sell parts of your collection), don’t gamble on random accounts. Follow people who are consistent, grounded, and decent — and who have a reputation worth protecting.
Bottom line: Robert Ocampo is the kind of person you want more of in this hobby. If you’re going to support someone in the Pokémon TCG space, support someone with real character.
